This is the fastest and most economical public transport option.
Route: Take the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line from Fukuoka Airport Station to Hakata Station.
Duration: The train ride takes about 5 minutes. Including the walk to your destination at Hakata Station, the total travel time is approximately 14 minutes.
Frequency: Trains run every 6 to 8 minutes during the day and every 3 to 6 minutes during peak hours.
Cost: Approximately ¥260 - ¥300 ($1–$3 USD).
Note: The subway is directly accessible from the Domestic Terminal. If you arrive at the International Terminal, you may need to take a free shuttle bus to the domestic terminal to board the subway, unless a direct connection is available. The bus from the International Terminal goes directly to Hakata Station, making the bus a simpler option for international arrivals.
This is the most convenient choice for international arrivals, as it connects directly from the International Terminal to Hakata Station.
Route: Take the direct Nishitetsu Airport Bus from Fukuoka Airport International Terminal to the Hakata Bus Terminal (adjacent to JR Hakata Station).
Duration: The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Factoring in the walk to your hotel, total travel time is about 26 minutes.
Frequency: Buses depart approximately every 20 minutes.
Cost: Approximately ¥260 - ¥400. (Prices vary by ticket type and vendor).
Advantages: Direct service from the International Terminal
with luggage space. You can purchase tickets online in
advance or at the airport.
This is the fastest and most direct option, especially if you have heavy luggage.
Route: Direct transfer from either terminal to your address.
Duration: Approximately 4–5 minutes.
Cost: Approximately ¥1,100 - ¥1,500 ($15–$19 USD).
Advantages: Door-to-door service, no need to navigate with luggage on public transport.
